Today SaskTel announced residents of another First Nations
community, Cote First Nation, will now be able to enjoy the benefits of SaskTel
High Speed Internet service.
This expansion is part of an initiative that was first
announced in 2010, aimed at providing High Speed Internet service and 4G
coverage to 28 First Nations communities in Saskatchewan.
“We have always believed in the importance of all
Saskatchewan people benefitting from having access to the most powerful and
extensive communications network available,” said Don McMorris, Minister
Responsible for SaskTel. “We recognize
that all communities deserve the benefits that increased access to technology
brings, including educational, healthcare, and business opportunities.”
