Brazilian Electric Airplane to make its first flight

First flight with zero emissions, is scheduled for August.

The Electric Vehicle Project – EV (in Portuguese, Projeto Veículo Elétrico – VE), developed by Itaipu and the ACS Aviation (São José dos Campos – State of Sao Paulo) intends to air in the coming days, the first Brazilian electric airplane.
ACS produces, already, a small and modern sports model, the ACS 100 Sora, that now flies with a combustion engine.

The idea is to reproduce, in the air, the same conversion formula from combustion propulsion system, as the Palio Weekend battery powered model, currently circulating through the Itaipu’s premises.
