The “Winsmart” project convinced the EU experts. They judged
the application for funding submitted by Empa researcher Matthias Koebel for
the project – the development of "intelligent" windows for the
buildings of tomorrow – as the best in its class. The eight participating
partners from research and industry will receive more than €3.8 million in
financial support from the EU's 7th Framework Program.
