Peugeot presenting 2008 Concept at Paris Motor Show; first application of new 1.2L, 3-cylinder engine

At the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot is presenting the 2008 Concept, a B-Segment follow up to the Urban Crossover Concept it introduced in Beijing earlier this year. Engineers and stylists worked together in Europe, China and Latin America to develop the concept, which will go into production first in France (Mulhouse) in 2013, then in China (Wuhan) and later in Brazil (Porto Real).

Leveraging the new 208, which went on sale earlier this year, the 2008 Concept has compact dimensions—4.14m long and 1.74m wide—and is powered by the first application of a new 1.2, 3-cylinder turbocharged direct injection engine developing 100 bhp (75 kW).
