MTS Systems Corporation, a leading global supplier of high performance test systems and position sensors, today announced that it provided the advanced energy recovery technology deployed on the ultra-efficient, low-emission 208 HYbrid FE (Fun & Efficient) concept car, that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013. Developed jointly by Peugeot S.A. and Total, the experimental 208 HYbrid FE is capable of achieving 1.9 liter per 100 Km (123 mpg) in a mixed European cycle, and emits only 46 grams of CO2 per kilometer - significantly less than any non-plug-in hybrid vehicle on the road today.
