New Volvo Penta D11
–
more power with less emissions
Now, Volvo Penta launches a completely new generation of the
proven D11 series.
The new engine program has a peak power of 725 hp, and with
a more powerful torque,
improved drivability and reduced noise levels it
becomes a strong addition to
Volvo Penta’s world-leading inboard program.
Naturally, the new generation also meets the world’s soon strictest emission
regulations.
Volvo Penta’s new
Interceptor System
makes boat trimming simpler
– and driving safer
With the explicit purpose of designing a new, more efficient
– but also robust –
leisure boat trim system that enhances safety and comfort,
Volvo Penta made its starting point in large, marine commercial vessel
applications.
The result was a trim system with a whole new design and unique
properties.
Making things easier for the boat driver and, at the same
time, enhancing on-board
safety and comfort are fundamental objectives for
Volvo Penta.
In this context, an efficient and easy-to-handle boat trim system
is a given element.
It will help both beginners and experienced drivers make
every trip
more pleasant and less stressful
– fully in line with Volvo Penta’s
Easy Boating concept.
Volvo
Penta’s new
Glass Cockpit System
links the driveline and navigation
in a unique
way
The driver environment in cars is similar regardless of the
car brand.
The driver starts the engine, electrical systems and instruments
with a simple press
of a button and doesn’t have to think much about how it all
works.
In the boating world, it has not been quite as easy – until now.
Volvo
Penta is now launching the Glass Cockpit System which changes
the design of the
boat's driver environment from scratch.
The new Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit System is an
all-integrated control
and monitoring system that gathers all driver
information
– including warnings and alarms – and displays it on a fixed point
in the boat;
on one or more, high-tech displays. It enables a common, ergonomic
design
– and interface – for the whole dashboard, with push-buttons on the
controls
and touch-buttons on the screens.
